Alliance with Asian hydraulic press builder significantly expands Greenerd’s offerings.

NASHUA, NH U.S.A. (May 20, 2006 ) – Today Greenerd Press & Machine Company, Inc. has announced that they
have developed an alliance with Tianjin Tianduan Press Co., Ltd., the first and largest hydraulic press builder
in China, to expand the current Greenerd product range. The alliance broadens Greenerd’s product capability to
10,000 tons, bed sizes exceeding 240” (6100 mm), and styles ranging from gap frame and straight-side to
die-spotting and forging presses. The entire product line will be supported by Greenerd and will remain
designed and built to ANSI B-11.2 1995 (R-2000) for the US market. Tianduan also builds presses to meet the
CE standard.
Greenerd is the sole representative for sales, marketing, service and installation of Tianduan product in
North America. Greenerd will continue to design and build their existing product lines in their Nashua,
NH facility, while expanding the variety of press types and tonnages with their Asian partner.
The Greenerd product line now includes Gap Frame Presses to 1,000 tons, Four-Post Presses with beds to 240”
wide and 10,000 tons, Straight-Side Presses to 10,000 tons and Die-Spotting Presses with either rolling bolsters
or booking rams.
Greenerd Press & Machine Company, Inc. has steadily increased both bed size and tonnage range for its hydraulic
presses produced in Nashua, NH. In the past three years, the Company has shipped 4-post presses with 144” x 48”
and 150” x 64” bed sizes and multiple presses exceeding 100,000 # in weight. Current Greenerd press designs
remain highly reliable in rigorous production environments. Equipped with state-of-the-art controls technology,
every Greenerd press is designed and built to ANSI B-11.2 1995 (R-2000).
“We are very excited about the alliance,” said Mr. Tim Dining, President of Greenerd. “It will significantly
widen our product scope and size, while allowing us to build on our solid North American customer base. Like
Greenerd, Tianduan has extensive engineering expertise, which ideally complements our capabilities to provide
the most efficient hydraulic press solutions in the industry,” continued Dining. “They also have a very large
manufacturing facility with the capacity to build over 1,200 presses a year, many of them with extensive bed
sizes and tonnage ranges.”
Tianduan has 600 employees, of which 200 are engineers. The company’s general manager is widely regarded as the
country’s foremost hydraulics expert. All of Tianduan’s fabrication and manufacturing processes are in-house.
Presses are designed and built to JIS B 6403 standard and use all German hydraulic components. Tianduan already
has presses installed in North America and Europe.
Founded in New England in 1883, Greenerd has designed and built thousands of high-quality custom and standard
hydraulic presses since 1934. Machines include an extensive line of Hydraulic Presses in all sizes and
